The hall was almost too quiet for a celebration. The lights were dimmed, and there was no sound except her breathing. For a moment, she wondered if she had come to the wrong place, when suddenly all the lights turned on, and all the eyes in the room focused on her. She confidently strided forward, but inside her heart was thumping. She had always been nervous in public places. Somewhere above, a screen lit up, showing her photo with her name under it. An anchor made an announcement - " Ladies and Gentlemen, today we are gathered here not just to honor a brave heart, but a life lived in silence which echoed in the hearts of many. Please welcome Ira Sharma to the stage to receive the _______________________________ award.
For a moment, she didn't move; her mind drifted back to where it had all started when she was 15. All around her, people were applauding, but no one knew that below the glitter and applause, there was a real story- the one no one knew.
